Goodwills around the nation are stepping up to serve our nation’s heroes. We are learning on this journey, and we are ready to share lessons from the field.
Registration is now open for the Goodwill® for America’s Heroes and Their Families Summit, presented by the Walmart Foundation. The Summit will focus on answering the question, “How can communities work collaboratively to help veterans and military families advance in family-sustaining careers?”
The Goodwill for America’s Heroes and Their Families Summit will engage national veteran serving entities, Operation: GoodJobs sites and Goodwill innovators from the pilot Operation: GoodJobs sites in sharing their effective practices and resources that empower communities to work together in service to veterans and military families.
When: Saturday, April 22, 2017
Where: Houston, TX
The application has been extended to APRIL 7, 2017.
There are a limited number of travel stipends available for this event. Veteran density in a Goodwill’s territory and the rank order of Goodwills applying for the travel stipend will decide recipients.
All travel stipends are contingent upon Summit attendance, timely submission of reimbursement request with receipts in the proper format, and funding availability. If you have any questions, please contact Ruth LaToison Ifill, Veterans and Military Families Program Manager at ruth.ifill@goodwill.org.
